An Ode to My True Friend !!!

This piece is dedicated to one of my best friends, who is currently sailing through the toughest times of her life. She is really struggling to solve the abstruse and probably unsolvable jigsaw puzzle of her life where in she is entangled in its viciousness and really finding it hard to unveil the characters ( Career, Tears, Emotions, Friends, Love, Family, Aspirations, Joys , Giggles, Anger Management to name a few ...) in disguise.

On my journey back from Home to Bangalore, while I was in the train, I got a call from her. Her voice was making me feel weak and at the same time my inner soul kept on provoking me to console her, to make her smile, to pep up her sullen mood, which I certainly did.
To cut short, let me come straight to the main part of the story : Soon after I disconnected the call, I wrote these lines and messaged her hoping that She would find some comfort in my words.

Hey cutie, this is for you dear... my two cents... :)

Keep Pegging !!! God Bless !!!

Relationship Redifined !!!

“It is well to give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, through understanding;
And to the open-handed the search for one who shall receive is joy greater than giving
And is there aught you would withhold?
All you have shall someday be given …
See first that you yourself deserve to be a giver, and an instrument of giving.”
— Kahlil Gibran

Recently I happened to come across these so true words of Kahlil Gibran which clearly sends the meaning across the minds of readers that "a mutual Give and take attitude " is the basis for a successful and steady relationship.

Gibran again says on "Giving" :
"You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. "

Relationships, no matter of what kind, hover around "Give and Take". Even the pure relationship of a mother and a child and that of between two business houses have an innate relationship. One can't be selfish enough to keep taking only or keep asking for something in a relation, as it would make the relation to die out soon enough before one realises it.
Even the most philanthropic of us would not like always playing the role of a "Giver".

Even, In the world of marketing the main pivot for a successful business is "Give and Take attitude". Marketing can be practically defined as " To connect with the customer to make profits and stay connected." Enduring a profitable relationship with the customer only makes a business blossom. Delivering Value to the customer apparently helps a business to get Brand Loyalty from the customers. "Unless the exchange be in love and kindly justice, it will lead some to greed and others to hunger."
Sometimes its unfathomable to see some relationships between mismatched people being successful. Even today most of the promoters or advocators of love marriage witness such synergy in the relationship between their parents, that withstood the test of time. There is a reason why a Successful person, for whom every thing is going smoothly in life, is found to end up with a very Ordinay partner, which makes the world to keep asking Why the successful person went for such an ordinary partner. This is really difficult to understand but may be that there is something in the Ordinary partner that complements the Successful person, there must be equal compensation that made the relation possible.

The Finance world is all about "Debits and Credits" which is inherits its meaning from "Give and Take". Once you start feeling that there are only debits in a partnership, instinctively you try and get out of the situation. It is when one partner starts feeling that he or she has nothing more to gain from the other then the relationship is in jeopardy.

Thus, the words "Give and Take" can make businesses fall and make houses survive.
So, One needs to balance "the Gives" & "the Takes" to foster a good relationship.

God is within you !

Do I believe in God?

Its like asking - Does a fish believe in water ?

Well to answer, Yes. I believe enough to see his omnipresence.

R. Buckminster Fuller said, God to me, it seems is a verb not a noun. Once I viewed God as a verb instead of a noun my perception of life shifted.

Everywhere it was the manisfestation of God.

Everything I spoke,I listened.

Karma
overtook everything.

The small shift from noun to verb may be the antidote to the forbidden fruit that banished us from Eden.

You will start saying God is within you.

Run Forrest, Run…

In today’s BhagamBhag world, its quite hard to maintain one’s pace with that of mighty and never-beatable time.
Inspite of our daily tryst with the countdown timer of the stopwatch,we couldn’t match our pace with that of intermittent tick-ticks of the analog watches tied up on our wrists.

Nevertheless,
Some run for money, Some run for fame
Some run for fitness, Some run for game
Some run for life, Some run for gain
Some run from failure, Some run in vain.

To Score consistently, one needs to Run Runs.

Run and leave more footprints to be followed.

Run Forrest, Run…

I-Day Celebrations with a difference !!

This 15th of August India turns 62. I salute the Spirit called India.
I got an opportunity to spend some quality time with the students of a Government School, in whose hands the future of India lies.

It was a really a nice experience. I never felt so happy and content in my life after bringing the smile on their innocent faces.

There were a many things i carried from that place as remembrances.
There were kids 5-6 yrs of age coming for delivering speech on the dais and forgetting their lines. Moreover, I was mesmerized by the promptness of a few kids who were rushing on the dais and offering a hand shake making me feel like a celebrity. We were to distribute sweets at the end of the function and there was a trail of kids following us right from the dais to the sweet distribution point. I don't know why but i felt a sense of belonging out there with those deprived kids. one of them coming and calling us an Indian Santa on I-Day.

Lastly, I could not forget the faces of those thousand kids glimmering with hopes of getting something better, their innocent but meaningful acts, their desire to perform and scale high in life and their smile so ingenuous and pure that it would make all the barriers vanish and above all you can hardly ignore it.
